Make sure you put more than grey on, the problem with tremulous was the monotonous colors and the flat, notevenedgy metals on every object (it's not a mod anymore btw)
Also been working on a head a bit. No normal in the hair, so it looks kinda flat. Oh yea, and the eyebrows are a disaster. Here is a screencap from the viewport though:
N30, you could try just a flat surface, and use a displacement map like these guys did. They used 3ds max too.. http://www.panzar.com/chaoswarrior.html
PlatSajack - I would suggest you try and go slightly lower in poly count, try and get the form of the mesh more accurate, before you start putting in the more detailed stuff. You can always add more detail later when you are happy with the form. get lots of reference also n30g3n3s1s - Thanks, will post the flats soon.…
some of the details on the van look kinda of flat. the texturing is good, but perhaps it needs some geometry to help it pop. heres one of my WiP, [image]http:// [/image]
sweet work sectuars, and ferg that pic with the ghost-people is really atmospheric it looks really flat, but I know how its supposed to look in 3d so meh
I just did a texture for Unreal 1. . . . . . Yes, I know. Shut up. Flat: And on the model... please note that this model wasn't made by me, it comes with the game.
