@ adamlewis Very cool but the face looks old and because of that he seems not very fast. It wouldnt really fit to your style to make the skin smoother but i would reduce the skin hanging above his eyes and his head/forehead less big. @ ggmd Great environment work. @ Helixx Nice but the skull is missing something
Roses perhaps. Sounds like a very noble and romantic thing, sort of makes it sad when you notice he's dead. As for the horns, maybe on a helmet. I think horns attatched to the skull would make him look demonic and evil. That's not what I want. I like the placement of the roses on that picture, though. Update:
Nice concept! Well, if the brow works in concept it will work in 3D, it's simply a matter of interpretation. Hmmm. That's an improvement towards a more animal-like skull, maybe try pulling that centre line a little outwards for some rounder forehead, but I don't think it's the skull alone that's giving you the human feel…
More on my warhammer 40,000 Bolter Rifle prop. After a silver base coat and a black top coat, here's where it's at. I'm going to sandpaper off the black, leaving it dull and in some areas letting the silver through. There will also be a lot of weathering and other colours, like the brass shells in the mag. I'll accentuate…
Item: Skull, Triceratops Horridus. Length: 8'1" (246.3cm). Polygons: 94,000. Time: 2 hours 30 minutes. Software: 3dsmax, ZBrush. Still needs a little more detailing (especially around the bone crest at the back). Texture is just a planar-mapped photo for testing purposes. That's looking nice and shiny there, KMan. Love the…
Well.. I started doing a sculpt of a lich's hood using my skull as the head and it kinda got out of control and my creativity took over and voila... the bizzare hood. Going to keep working on it and caress the folds, and ya he does still need a body but i'm having a blast with it so far. I'll post updates as they're…
Heeeh pastel viking! He'd fit well into anything CBeebies fo'shoo'. [ QUOTE ] Completely rebuilt his face, based off of the skull. What a test of patience... [/ QUOTE ] Ooooo nice! Yes, much more cartoony and animal looking. You'll have to tell me your work-flow with those fins! Those things always drive me crazy...
A cube of sorts, subdivided and in the basic shape of a skull. IBXL: This head seems to have some of the same problems as the last, i think its a bit too long, and similar problem with lips, need to rework the way they blend into the face i think. The top lip also looks larger than the bottom. I think the cheekbone is a…
[ QUOTE ] Still trying to learn to model heads I think this first one was my best attempt: If you could hard critiq the anatomy and loops of the first one it would really help me [/ QUOTE ] nice head vitor, you have style, i think you have good talent, just keep working working working. the crit already posted is good, but…
seeing it with the lights, it feels like it's too bright, no dark shadows (in the cracks) if u had more of the skulls brown in the grass -- and more of the grass green on the stones = coherency overall its very nice, i think the designs are well done, but are relegated to a big-chunk-o-stuff due to lack of big-shapes…
