[ QUOTE ] Needs less cloth Sweet pixel work! [/ QUOTE ] JKMakowka, you are a perv. . . . . . . . . I guess, so am I. http://www.wayuki.nl/images/forum/wayuki_dragontamer_study.gif I call it... a study. Yes.
[ QUOTE ] doesn't a 256x512 texture take the same amount of video memory as a 512x512? [/ QUOTE ] less pixel info in the file means smaller memory footprint. just like a 64x1024 texture uses less memory than a 1024x1024 texture.
A dude I'm slooooowly getting togethor between contracts - uses my skin pixel shader (excuse the blush... haven't quite balanced that out yet ) Still heavy wip, and needs mucho hairo for his bald shiney head.
Peris: how i do it is like this: create yourself any 600x300 pixel image and then save it in the max directory as SPLASH.bmp (allcaps). 24bit, and next time you start max there you have it! **now i need to figure out how to do in maya**
wow, thats a 4096? i've seen better on much less i'm not a big fan of the 'bigger is better' movement. seems people should learn to use every pixel before going up to the next size. ah well. back to my no-normal-mapping.
The beardy texture on your frog guy looks kinda nasty, Obson, taking away a bit from what is otherwise a great model. I'm not entirely sure what its representing, but cleaning up the outer pixels a bit would improve the look significantly I think.
Thanks mop! I use 1 pixel highlights often to get a sharp look. I'm not totally happy yet with this one, It looks almost a bit comic like to me. But after some hours of work on it, I can't see clear anymore, I guess I'll finish this tomorrow
Boom! I dont want to make all these cannons, i just cant decide where to put a cannon. @ Neox Great colors here is something about CelShadeing in UE3: http://www.hourences.com/book/tutorialsue3mated3.htm @ Ruz Looking very good what are this yellow pixels at his vest?
Nice stuff there Vitor, it has a lot of character. However you should probably get some reference for the nostrils and under the nose, your structures there aren't really correct... the nostrils are far too big, is my main issue with it. Good work though, Hawken I like your pixelling too.
