thanks for the kind comments people! here's a wireframe, the dense zbrushed parts started out from an old lowpoly mesh full of triangles. no exciting topology in there and i didn't keep the in-betweens.
jesus.. so much good stuff on this page. lowoder, pior, ironbearxl, TACIT... all that stuff is great. inspired by syaped to do some lowpoly sci-fun. not 40k at all, but kind of inspired.
The thing is, when I used the body to generate a normalmap, the lowpoly version's hands were perfect size for Doom 3's skeleton. Either way, no need to keep them that small now, you're right.
you should work on the eyelids, the ears are a bit edgy but good That'S what I'm working on. Finished the highpoly version an stated on the lowpoly one The zbrushparts are really lowres, I will use much higher ones for the normalmaps
Here is my first zbrush creation. Imported a old lowpoly model for this. Pior realy nice, how do you get it so smooth? My mesh has some strange patterns going on O.o
Working on this little fellah for a mini lowpoly challenge Theme: weapon, Specs: 1024 textures, 4.000tris Funny thing tho (but logical imho), I loaded this in few realtime engine, and there is a big difference between each one
Gavimage- awesome work, maybe just a color map is too strong and cool hi poly details vanish becouse of dark parts of it, but it rocks that way or another slaught- good intuition of the form, traditional lowpoly, yuhmy
Cant show much atm. but a first attempt in facial animation for a silo/zbrush SDK. No ears just yet - he`ll get an old army helmet anyway. Here is a 4view of the head in normal (lowpoly) condition.
Looking cool RUZ- Im glad you cropped that ZBRUSH screenshot there though! The front of shoe in the shot above looks a little too flat and lowpoly though to me - another cut or two to round it out a bit maybe?
[ QUOTE ] Just a super quick lowpoly char before i go to bed, [/ QUOTE ] omg how did i scroll over this and didnt see it thats hilarious no critics love the design ! that character is an original creation yes ?!
