Just post your skin to the workshop before u leave, and ask a friend to post it in the final submission thread on polycount once it gets made. He means submitting it to polycount. I don't see why he should share his steam account to publish his skin, a lot of us have already published our works to the workshop, so he can…
Nothing has to be posted here, Just post your skin in the workshop with the "PC-CSGO | YourSkinName" name tag, after you have done that copy the link of your polycount wip thread into the description of your skin. Valve will most likely sort the skins on the workshop based on the "PC-CSGO | YourSkinName" name tag, and…
Is it compulsory to have a WIP thread of our skin here in Polycount and should it be compulsorily linked in the Steam Workshop submission's description? Or should I create one thread featuring my skin and take that link to the Workshop submission? Also, is it ok to add watermark to the texture sheet image (not raw targa…
Are my skins still eligible for the contest if I didn't make a WIP here on Polycount?... If not, can I still do something about that after uploading my design to the workshop?
There is no submission thread. Our apologies. It was incorrect of us to add that to the end of the rules. That has now been removed from the rules post. Submit only through the Workshop and the CS:GO console.
I am thinking the exact same thing, also do value search the entire csgo workshop for the ones with the special tag or do they get them all from poly count?
My only advice to you guys is to treat workshop as a place to make art, get beter and maaaaybe get paid at some point. Artists always did stuff in their free time. At least I did. If your intention is to practice, do stuff the best as you can, make the next one better as previous one, you win no matter what. In Dota…
I would just like to ask about, how many posts are promoting their skin(s) via Steam Workshop, is this allowed now or is it still not allowed? Sorry if this has been answered already
Nah renders to promote your skin are fine man, just be sure to add 2-4 workbench pictures aswell. In the cs:go workshop people use renders to promote their skins 24/7!
I would still like a bit of clarification. Since the submission is only through the workshop do we need to add the texture sheet to our WIP thread...? Or is that no longer necessary? I'm a bit confused.
