Past 2-3 weeks ive been battling through being sick and studying modular design and a gaggle of methods to make tileables, just doing all the geometry pieces at this point I have planned then the next step is to knock a street out in UE4.
Hey guys I'm working on a mech for class using modular modeling. This is my first time modeling mech and is been really fun. I would love for some feedback on my WIP from you guys. I'm still working on doing the UVs and painting it. :):)
Been working on the Attachment system for our game BLISTER, you can find out more about it at item42.com. The system is fully modular so it takes very little setup to add attachments to guns [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBIJmilMoIc[/ame]
See if you can dig up the original concept art for this. I know I have seen most of the other maliwan concepts posted online. The concepts got heavily adjusted to make the modularity work correctly and the original designs almost always looked better.
Hi Guys, I'm trying to get better at making modular buildings. Below is using a tiling texture for the brick and 2 separate atlases for the windows etc. Using PBR and rendering in Marmoset. Any feedback on what you guys think and how this could be improved would be greatly appreciated!
Been trying a different approach to my Metroidvania/platformer thingie. Made a new set of modular pieces, this time much larger and less rigid in their shape. I think this is probably a much more interesting direction to take this in. Here's the old thing for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrRSg0QXH_I
Some house variations in Unity for our survival building simulator in a flooded world Flotsam. We're trying to have as much reusable and modular parts as possible. For instance, the boat doors will be used for the boats too. All our houses are made with scrap and garbage you find in the ocean. I added a breakdown of most…
I've decided to jump on the UE4 indie bandwagon and for the past few weeks I've been working on a little prototype for a 2.5D Metroidvania. Once I get more stuff done I will make a proper thread for this project. The art assets are far from final and I'm currently working on a modular setup.…
I have no site with the process, on thingiverse are lots phots though that also show the parts: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:724096 I modeled everything directly in 3Ds Max and then did lot of rapid prototyping with my 3d printer, mainly to get the snapping perfect because it had to be very stable and at the same time…
Hey guys! For the Thanksgiving season and Black Friday I made the Modular Building Set High Poly/Texture and Breakdown FREE again on my gumroad until Friday night :) Head on over and get your learn on and checkout the highpoly/textures that come along with the breakdown.
