Sandstone is printend in a completely different way than most melted wire printed materials... it builds layers of a white powder like materials which gets hardened by some chemicals and colored by the ink at the same time. So it's self supporting, but it needs some serious cleanup later. It probably wont break during…
Oh I see, sorry I didn't understand you were talking about the printing process. The client asked me not to separate the pieces, he wants to print it as a whole ( he said he already did that and it worked ). Only the base will be separated. Also, the only material which can be colored is Sandstone, so he will use this (…
No, the dicks have foreskin, not nipples ^^. Anyway, here are two personal projects for future prints. I'm planning on starting a Patreon and I need content for it. A realistic hentai tentacle girl : This one is an old character, but I thought she could be nice as a print. I re-did the face with a new basemesh, and someone…
Ha ha, nice! I always love the updates to your thread here mate. There's some really nice color gradation going on in those sandstone prints - just wish the detail replication for that material was sharper. The 'fuzzy' textures never seem to do your sculpts justice. Is that barbarian going to be printed as well, or just…
Alright here she is, Jenny is gonna print it. Latex doesn't look good, we'll avoid that in the future. I tried to bake a shader with a render to texture in Max but it's not really good...
I don't know if those got printed, but the clients never complained so I guess it worked. Maybe sandtsone is not that fragile once it's dry and coated. Anyway if it breaks after printing it's not my problem ^^. I don't mind modifying the model if Shapeways says it's not printable ( charging extra if it's because of an…
WOAH That fucking portfolio! EDIT: Scratch that, this entire thread is something...above and beyond what i was expecting when i clicked. Not personally my cup of tea, but still amazing job with the sculpts and the prints.
Thanks Polymator. Well, Syx finally arrived... it's a bit disapointing compared to the others 20cm figures, she's only 12cm... The details like the rings are impressive but the face really lacks details, we don't even see the eyes at this size. The problem is, to print it bigger it needs to be hollow, and I don't see where…
Have you had any problems with breakage? The coloured print material you were using isn't exactly tough. I'd be concerned about the blue lady there snapping off at the ankles with all that weight at the front, even if it is hollowed.
