I have received the same message. It surprised me actually.... because I had seen this account added to some already in the workshop. Assumed a legit connection... perhaps not.
I have to agree with every point here. I am not producing the kind of work that I expect to see in the game yet but I have felt that these issues are influencing my submissions (and submissions by some artists that are way better than me). I think that the best thing is to keep talking about ways to improve the current…
Two ideas that can be implemented in the workshop. 1: Vote cap- when an item reaches x amount of votes. Its moved to another section with items that have the x+ votes. 2: Removing the logos!! Under the marketing material the requirements is says that an artist/author cannot put a logo. Why can't this be implemented in the…
@belkun he just spammed with our set everywhere, and then, when items was on top workshop community made another votes. As u can see, items on the top of page getting so much votes.
Alrighty, so on reddit someone wound up making this thread. which brings up the interesting discussion on how to improve the workshop based off community suggesions. While browsing I read this idea. Now, I don't know about you, but this idea seems like the golden ticket. I don't see how this idea wouldn't skyrocket…
I agree with praetus, quality will find a way to shine regardless if you're a super popular artist. I got my first item accepted maybe 2 months after I started doing stuff for the Workshop, I might have had 10 followers at the time. The only promotion I did was on here and Facebook, so maybe 50 more people voted for it…
Using it for a short time, I honestly don't see anything wrong with it at all. I'm sure all of you know about this page and its content http://www.dota2.com/workshop/requirements If your models don't get accepted, you should know why. Then again, they can't accept every model that's submitted. I've seen a bunch of awesome…
Adding a so-called 'screening process' for comments is a bad idea. You can only vote or post something if its a constructive crit leaves out soooo many people. The majority of people who play Dota probably wouldn't even know how to give critique. Just because something gets downvoted a bit doesn't mean we need to get all…
Steam Greenlight's system, is what needs to happen to the workshop. First, rather then a top rated, you get a queue. This way there can never be a way to shine above others. You're provided a pre-exisiting list randomized based off variables you set. By elimating that "top rated" factor, you immediately elminate any chance…
I dont think they belong on that list. Those people/organizations are art relates - they help you get the work done and done better. DC (as our example) doesnt operate to that end. Their involvement is limited to branding and community involvement. Their work expands and enhances the game throughout and isnt limited to the…
