Biggest thing I notice with this is the pixelation across the whole model. Vlad- I dig it, but if this is how it's going to look in game you might want to consider re-evaluating your uv layout before going too far into texturing that. At the very least with the wraps.
Just wrapped up a new HUD based off of Storm Spirit with a friend called 'Thunder Spirit.' Been having fun doing these, although putting it together in all the aspect ratios is like a brain numbing puzzle.
If you are determined to do something with clothes, I suggest you use them on the part that has least movement. That could be some wraps around the part that connects the wings to her back or some cloth draping from sides etc. In it's current form, it would look weird with the stretches.
I could, but it would clip through the side things on the default cloak that wrap around his head, and also a bit on the chest and on his back. Maybe if I changed my design a bit I could get it to work, I'm going to experiment with a bunch of stuff and see what works.
Aye, I'll start doodling some different shoulder ideas today. Most of juggernaut's icons are red squares with swirls cut into them. As for the wraps, what do you suggest? I think anything but the white didn't stand out as much as it should have, and it really helps exaggerate his core model.
@Jeremy: That's awesome, technically impeccable. Even if I'm not much a fan of all those protrusions, the details are astonishing, really digging the way you wrapped the concept together - and learned from it, as it really made me look back to my own Sven set and see where I could've done better. Bravo, sir!
It would've been cooler if you answered my question too, you know. So what do you guys think? It's so cool, it's a shame Valve just used it all on his weapons almost exclusively Is the guy who did the Brew set that got in is among us? I wanted to ask him how he textured those wraps.
Hey guys, great work all around! Can someone take a second to help me out? sorry if this isn't the place place. When I download the smd files from the DOTA site and import it (into Blender), how do I also import the UV wrap and textures? Or is there something I just need to click to display them? Thank you. And I hope to…
Good evening polycount. I've just wrapped up an item set for necrolyte. If you want to have a look on steam workshop the links here. I'm currently looking into creating custom particle effects for the set and how to add jiggle bones to the incense burner (I've yet to find a really clear answer on whether this is possible…
The design doesn't make a lot of sense. The fabric that wraps around his shoulder is awkward - and the horns coming out of his arm? Why are they there? The design also looks very flat. This is my opinion but you might be better off taking a second one - my last 2 sets have hit the workshop like sacks of dog poo - so you…
