Loud footsteps, inertia and a heavily swaying view would emphasize that you're piloting a mech and not walking around yourself. Don't fret, Jupiter Effect (the only other mech mod for UT2003 I'm aware of) doesn't give the "huge mech" feel either.
Slow progress, setting up the design for the mech pilot. I was thinking of turning the mech into more of a haulage mech rather than one designed specifically for combat. Still need to work on some elements of the character, might create a mouth sock and give him some wear and tear but I think for now im going to focus on…

This is my first mech concept. It’s Racing mech made for Rally-like race but on two legs instead of wheels and with jets under your butt. Hope you like it! Modeled with Blender 2.83 and partly textured in Substance Painter (my first attempt in SP) and rendered with cycles. Hope you like it! Feedback is very welcome
