Thats badass!! I love how you define surfaces, it works very well. the belly is super soft! The cleavage may be a little too hard edged and heavy handed, but it is a cool look :) awesome stuff! edit: my phone has a new background now :) inspiration!
Cool thanks for the tips! I went ahead and made the zombie a bit darker and defined him a bit more. Still need to add proper shading and lighting to his tattered shirt. The background is becoming a bit of a mess. So here is what I got so far.
Yeah, if it's the 28th, then there isn't enough time for me to do it. I might still put together an example though. Also, there's nothing wrong with having it drop to 6k in polys, especially if that drop allows you to put some polys in other areas that could help define the silhouette.
lol. fpv! ha! nice one! I think before you start adding more stuff to the texture. U should work on defining the edges with hilights and midtones. Everything just reads like washes right now. Dunno if that meakes sense. Looking awesome tho!!
Definately looks like a fuse box. The scratches are uniformly placed around the surfaces. They would be unique if brushed against or hit from various angles. Oddly enough, the UVs are all unique. Share UV space with repeating details to give more pixels to your important details.
Nothing screams toxic like a biohazard sign! Which I would definitely include in your model. Also, dull greens and bright reds don't seem to play well in the composition. Light greys and yellows seem to define scientists and researchers working in the field. Hope that helps!
Cool scene!!! Though one thing bothers me, the bottle in your 4th screenshot looks really odd! Light doesn't break when shining on it, looks too transparent, etc. Try to look at a empty bottle and define how it is visualized. Other then that, really great job!!
Not that I know of. It depends on what the program you're using has defined. Some might call the default Windows one, but some might go for their own version. You might be able to override half of 'em, maybe, in a hacky way, but stuff like Photoshop rolls it's own.
Swizzle-thanks! I'll definately desaturate, and paint some scruffy worn off paint-it totally helps it read more like wood (not too much though, I don't want it too look 'old'. I like the effect you have! Doug-thanks! XD
3 MP5s in 3 days ? Strange coincidence It looks like you having trouble with smoothing groups on the handle , and nearly everything is too sharp I like the base texture, especially on the silencer, but there is not much edge wear at all, and that is the most important one that defines the form the most
