Thank you all so much for your posts! I'm still waiting for applicants, and I'll be making my selection in the next day or so. Please continue to submit your work! I'm very impressed with the quality of what I'm seeing and I really appreciate your submissions!
Thanks RexM. Low poly, UV packing, and specular maps are the three areas that I am really trying to focus on (probably my weakest suit). I will continue to get better with these now that my modeling skills are getting better/faster. Again, I really appreciate the critique.
shit omg omg omg. :S oh wait. *keeps munching pizza and beating off to nasty porn* PS: Bye slum! You going to heaven? Won´t the rest of us just stay here and continue having a miserable time or will we be sent to hell? :3
Here are my "final" shots for this level, I intend to continue working on it, but my 11 week school quarter has come to an end and this is how far I got. I got a two minute fly through for the environment in the works, I'll post it up soon. Feedback appreciated.
This early (unfinished) concept was for an old project at Snappers that unfortunately didn`t see the light , I had some fun working on it so I thought of sharing and hopefully continue it someday It was a collaboration between me , Galal Mohey and Meena Ibrahim more at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qzDlN
Yeah, and I've got a 10k version too, but I'm going to continue forward with this - I optimized it down from around 30k originally. I spent about 2 full days on the low-poly, including unwrapping and smoothing groups. I'm trying to find time now for the bake.
Hi Thanks for the comments. I tried to make corrections to the face and the top of the suit. I continue to sculpt the legs, and it's really difficult to obtain hard edge shapes. When I subdivide, the edges become too soft. For example, the shoes looks like clay. I'll keep working on it.
I am liking the uniqueness of the crate as well as the feeling of it actually being built from pieces. The monitor to me is looks fine as well, feels like a model out of fallout 3. Continue the great work and hopefully we can see some of these normal mapped and textured out!
Well, I suggest continuing watching tutorials and studying the anatomy of the face, I think this video is pretty cool: [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE9U9p95ekg[/ame] But really you're gonna want to look at pics of everything that make up the face and just practice practice practice.
