It looks like you dont use smoothing. I dont know how to work in blender, in 3ds max you choose polygon selection, and go to smoothing groups, select polys and use the same smoothing group to make edges round, and different smoothing groups to sharpen the edges(smth like weapon blades). It looks like you didnt weld your…
thx very much! could you (or someone else) try to bake with my uvs and xnormal maybe? i work with blender and i would like to rule out that my uvs are the issue here... i just tried to unwrap the lowpoly plane again and use the "snap to pixel" function for uv-vertices (which i hadn't used before). that, however, didn't…
Thanks for your input everyone! Good points, Much appreciated. I didn't realize the loading times were that ridiculous. Turns out there's a 6.5mb load just because of the images, will have to spend some time re-uploading them. I've changed it to a simple vertical layout with landscape images and have decided to advertise…
@RN @poopipe Those are all great techniques but I found a way to do it. (I know the vertical distortion is impossible on a screen like this but it looks cool, lol) Your browser does not support HTML5 video! https://i.imgur.com/XnlzN4u.gifv Your browser does not support HTML5 video! https://i.imgur.com/RRVajHE.gifv I just…
Create the circular model with enough segments and then use soft selection or proportional modeling to make it evenly. When you have problems with the smoothing on the center, just use more segments and dont use subdivisions. Another aproach is a cube, just subdivide it 2 or 3 times and then spherize, or shrink wrap it on…
man you were absolutely right about that! and now i'm crazy excited about this. but of course it's not perfect for me :/ is there a way to squish it vertically by exactly 50% from a point? right now i'm just lining up UVs with present textures, which seems a pretty inefficient way to do things (but i also screwed things up…
In that case it might be quicker to just move the entire center of the object to it's corner-most vert (several ways to do it, one being select the vert and under Transforms choose 'move center to vertices'). Then select the entire mesh and snap it next to the brick you want. Bevels have no impact on snapping. Only the…
you can use those 3 dot and red arrows buttons to align left, right, up, or down with a selection. sometimes I'll do a planer projection, then in the Polygons - Unfold options. I'll unfold constraint to vertical or horizontal. You can select everything but the border of the UV shell when you do that so it keeps the border…
The platforms seem very shallow - I'd expect greater vertical separation between the track bed and the platform. The station overall seems scaled-down - narrow platforms, low ceiling, etc. The tracks seem more like traditional rail tracks than those for a subway. Most of the ties were little wider than the tracks. There…
Hey man, the first thing I noticed was the lack of vertical motion on the front and back of the horse. There also seems to be too much movement on the horses head. If you haven't already, check out this Richard Williams animation sheet and some reference videos of horses running and take note of how much movement there is…
