Well, a lot of stuff happened these months but I'm still finishing this piece! I did the Highpoly in Zbrush, then the retopology in Topogun and baked it in Marmoset, now I'm coloring it in Photoshop, I still need to add another set of pieces like the weapon, hair and cloth.
Did you do the concept yourself? Its awesome dude. Really like the style of this guy. Looking good so far. Are you going to add in the gun? Im keeping my eye on this one its going to come out great keep it up
I like them in games where they need to add a sense of urgency, there's been a few recent games where its constantly saying hurry, this is about to explode, but you could just sit there for 20 minutes and nothing would happen. LoZOT did it well.
Egad, why did you add noise to that lamp normal map? You'll lose definition doing that. UDk scene is nice but why have a character model if you're aiming to be an environment artist? Basically you need more work but you show promise!
Just some base textures. I think I might add some ace bandage/tape on the grip. The UV islands are %10 bigger and the iron sights are twice as big. I did a much better job on the packing. Any critiques or ideas? Reed
Made some more progress and did a quick pass on the textures for the robot. Still using "place holder" lighting and textures for the other props. Once I am done with a first past on everything, will come back around and add some wear and tear to the robot.
Thx Reza for the tip Here's a QoP concept i did for fun. P.S Yea I know there is no way that armor would fit the poly limits. But maybe Valve will one day add some slots to Queen of pain sooo until then ... :D ^Taken
nice! i just think the skin and hair material definition could really use some work the skin is like with no spec and the hair lost a LOT of detail compared to the highpoly and also reads more like paperstripes did you use ddo for texturing?
On your reference, there are more obvious white marks all over the apple, would be cool to see those. Really though, not much of a need to go back and add that in, you did a great job. Actually thought the first image was your reference at first haha
This is really awesome and I really like how the shack is rendered out. Have you thought of adding post like fog or something to that affect to add another level. The rocks are really cool did you sculpt them? Keep up the awesome work!
