This is your low poly yeah? Not really suited to games. Quite a few loops that'll add almost nothing once normal mapped, and several concave ngons. Consider how much screen space it'll take up and that polygons are used to define the silhouette of the model.
I've looked at this one for a few days now, and I think it may be lack of contrast? Or at least, lack of any apparent contours to define shapes. From what I can tell, there's two knight-guys tackling two beasties? But it's hard to tell what's what.
Is that micron measurement the minimum feature size or the layer thickness it puts down, since they are different apparently. and usually, the xx-xx means you can define the accuracy with which the printer prints, which usually brings with it some form of reliability problems as you step down.
Looks pretty good. My only crit is that while his upper body is ripped and super defined.. his legs have no definition what so ever. Textures look pretty good though. If you looking to add more, maybe give him a cape?
you've got some cool hard surface stuff going on, but if you're wanting to work on your anatomy you should just do a nude model. I can't see much of any defining muscle features on this model so its hard to give critique.
@AlecMoody. I'm getting these artifacts in my AO, I think I'm just going to blur them out since the AO doesn't need super defined shapes, but it looks as if the high poly normals are messed up the same as my curvature map is coming out.
Like PIMM said, my family has given me everything and I feel like crap about not being able to give them this moment/event that they have been looking foward too. I'll definately go if its still possible for me to attend.
Yeah I agree, I found myself going back to levels to pick up missed items more than a few times. Beat it a few days ago. It's a short game, but for a platformer I'd say it's about average. Definately worth the price of admission to me.
Okay after reading 3 tutorials all describing the process differently I'm quite confused. Anyone care to post a step by step. Looks like crazy bump is definately for the win in terms of correctness of lighting but then their is an additive method as well which achieves decent results.
She looks like she's falling over, just pull the top half back a bit, and remember the S shape of the body. Boobs definately look fake. I don't think you have to model the belt, as it doesn't protrude that much, so a texture will be fine.
