Have you tried building the rig using Cat? You get FK/IK hybrid blend for free. The axis locks should just work as simply as ticking the axis you want to lock.
Discovered you on deviantart a while ago. 'Tis beauntifous to find you here! Love your crisp, blended style, especially digging the half lifey one with all the film noir blinds goin on.
Sort of, if you watch both it comes full circle and explains itself. Humans see patters in everything, it's a bit of a curse but also a blessing because it allows us to orderly function in total chaos =P
The jade kinda looks like its hit with a bright rim light, would be good to see some of the yellow/green bleed through. I do love a good nunchuk :) any other angles?
You might have to sacrifice a little responsiveness to get better animation, but really the secret lies in proper contextual animation blending. I've seen games that pull it off in strides. But we need more of it.
Well yeah that's the simpliest and lighter way. Bleeding is always an issue unless you have no filtering and mipmaps. There's a way with shader instructions to wrap fragments of a texture on themselves but thats probably a bit costy for mobile.
you can use Alveolus and turn the gradient Filled Cells off, or start with a Polygon 1 and blend different tile generators you offset with transform 2d until you get the proper pattern.
Quickie update: I added damage to the stone bricks (it uses a vertex shader, basically I just added a second normal map and with some magic blended them), and a simple spec map as well.
Looks pretty cool. I think you would be better off texturing the teeth a different color. They're too red, and blend into the face too much. Try doing them white or something.
You'll probably want to look for infrared and/or night vision video. You generally don't get those kinds of streaks in motion unless you have a CCD that gets a lot of light bleeding or burn-in.
