Yes, all those location restrictions plus a disclaimer that it's for a 'limited time only' don't give me any faith that this is an initiative that they want to succeed. Oh well there are lots of other products to choose from.
I was hoping there would be a way to do it without having to redo the UV's, I guess not. I initially avoided it because its waste and I thought it would show bad practices I will do that then
@PeterK Thanks so much for the critique! I did feel as if the model was a bit dense by the end of the retopo. And I agree, the bike was initially made with a different project in mind and definitely could use an overhall.
Initial Practice to get used to drawing Sion and trying to understand what makes him stand out (many rectangles) but these will also be used as a base to draw the skin idea thumbnails on top to save time.
Woah this is really amazing. That sci-fi owl assassin resembles a cool idea I had once, but now I think I'll take the initiative to make a model from it with this thread as inspiration. :D
Just in case, legion, do you have a grasp on the workflow for a game environment? Or do you need a general outline first? Understandably, getting thrown into a tutorial playpit may be a bit much initially.
Looks like Amazon came through for me, they initially said it would be shipped out on Friday but I just received an e-mail confirmation saying it was shipped out today and I'll receive it tomorrow!
So i ended up scrapping the designs above and alternating the initial version. It came out a little better and I think I'm going to settle on it. After all, perfect is good, but complete is better.
Ah yeah - I did initially think if wasn't going to go down the high poly route to add some light bevelling to the beams and paint in normal map scratches etc. in SP- similar to this:
Great start, although judging from your initial concept, I'd stylize the upper body more. Thinner torso and neck area. Also, longer neck and bigger ears. Keep rocking though!
