I assume he means the Quick Loader. As far as multiple texture sets, you'll want to apply a unique material for each texture / uv set in your 3D app before importing into Toolbag. Then you can bake and apply your maps per set. There is no way to control multiple texture / uv sets from a single material at this time.
not specific art related, but the EULA has been updated with new royalty info for lower revenue games. The 5% only applies after $3000 earned per quarter, and also only applies to the earnings over $3000 (game makes $4000, royalties owed 5% of $1000).…
Case in point, recently a hopeful applied to Insomniac for the character art position, WITH a folio containing stolen artwork, TO the lead *cough GAV Cough* whose artwork was contained within aforementioned folio. fucken lol. I'm going to steal your artwork, then apply to you with your artwork in my folio. sounds like a…
2006 never ended! Bloom used to be cool when it was only applied to lights. That's how it was when it first started with Ico and Bridge Commander in 2001-2002... but applying to everything is just argh can it kill you to make a little buffer to render glowy stuff in for the bloom Even worse is when bloom is referred to as…
Oh i know it's a old thread, but i saw you using Softimage there! Could you tell me how did you do the part when you apply that grid like mesh of the Mic to a sphere? I have a lot of problems finding the right tools to apply One stuff to fit another round stuff in Softimage...
Does DDO use same "techniques" as Ps? Or DDO under the hood IS the Photoshop? If so, can we apply to DDO same advices, that we apply to Ps? Advices I talking about are "Optimize your hardware setup for Photoshop" at Adobe help page. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-photoshop-cc-performance.html#hardware-setup
Great writeup. The only thing I will suggest is even if you're going for a particular role, include game art outside of that role only if it meets the quality bar of the studio you're applying for. When I applied for a weapons art position I had an environment and a concept character bust in my portfolio. It only seemed to…
Been playing with smoothing groups, have fixed the problem, on the cylinders at least. However I'm having trouble applying them in other areas. How can I apply the same smoothing group to one whole piece of the gun without it looking really strange in some areas? I apologise for not thoroughly googling the problem but it's…
As someone who hasn't played a single COD this is right up my alley as fresh and exciting, especially since I love slow mechs and playing the stealthy characters. Sounds like this game fills all my needs. Gosh darnit I applied twice and still no key XD Surprised it doesn't have a "You've already applied" thing.
Yeah, I was thinking I could apply the texture to a plane in 3ds max and apply a ffd box; then render to texture it at a higher resolution than the texture itself. But this is sort of a lot of work, and you might loose some texture quality. [Edit] Its good to know I am not missing out on anything there though, thank again…
