Wow, this is so inspiring. I really love the way you did the concepts, and the model/textures. The angel has such a nice glow and ephemeral beauty to her, it's a great dichotomy with the bruises and blood, really emphasizes what an inoportune situation she is in. Please continue and I'm looking forward to how you finish.
I was thinking hospital lighting is usually pretty uniform, but I might have overdone that a bit. I'll continue experimenting with it. Finished up post. Setting this aside to start a new environment. Will see if I can work on characters at the same time. More screenshots here http://evanliaw.com/portfolio/pokecenter/
Finally a new update. As of right now I have been sculpting the assets to get my normals. Also I have been continuing texture work, as well as putting in snow, and workin on its shader. (shader not active in viewport). As for the fur alphas at the moment, is there a better way to replicate a thick fur?
I think that it's great you're working in black and white first. If you feel your textures aren't solid yet, continue to work in black and white. It will be very clear what is and isn't working value wise for your texture. Color should come pretty easily once your values are laid in. :)
If we do like you're saying Vig, inside the Unwrap UVW modifier your selection is stucked. You cannot continue unwraping other polys without re adding an other Edit poly/Unwrap uvw modifier or without collapsing your stack and adding an other unwrap uvw modifier.
the battery life for games is between 4-6 hours of continuous use and it's other features are bonuses, not selling points. i wouldn't buy one from the initial run, the price will come down within a few months and there's always bugs with first runs. not to mention there's not many games i want for it on release
I give it again : http://flatiron.3d-plugin.com/ a good one for 3dsmax! And it's a really fast one! just try it, there is trial version you can download... I have installed mine for 1 week now... it's work perfectly!! But I don't know how many time the trial will continu...
Cheers for all the crit guys. It is my first attempt at any anatomy modelling and it can only really get better from here :P I'll continue to post my work on the forums as its a really good place with industry professionals, but enough of the ass kissing. Again thanks for the crit it is appreciated.
keep continue :) i love when you starting gain new power and abilities. it has some little SOTN elements, where you need certain skill to access some area. you may start with the mostly forrest and ruins level, but in progress the level getting bigger and more breathtaking.
No need to worry Mauricio, we'll continue to post updates at the polycount forums. We recently created a thread about the project at the pimping and previews section of the forums and we'll post future updates there. So rather subscribe to this thread if you don't want to miss an update:…
