Update! Been blasting on with some much needed texturing this week. Also been getting myself better acquainted with nDo and dDo. Very powerful pieces of kit, I must say:
This is also built into Zbrush, it's a tool called MRGBZGrabber, and is quite handy, especially if you're goal is to make ZB alphas (even though 3DCoat's version looks much more streamlined and powerful).
Gonna make a fat superhero-boy with unspectacular powers The costume is just placeholder right now , I wanna go into something more makeshift , something he would make at home.
No.03 Book During my design stage, my model looks like an magical and maybe powerful item. So I went further with this idea and played with the different materials and shapes :)
Woah!! This is dooope! Putting that Zaun element into Dr. Mundo is definitely a Yes YEAH! I am digging 2's movement and power, but I love the tiny mice on the 3rd one... :)
The muscles are to lumpy. Muscles flow into and over top each other, and where they overlap is where you get definition. The back leg is to small, horses have huge powerful back legs.
Check out a ATI 5770, i think it is cheaper, faster and uses less power than a 260. I'm a big nvidia guy myself, but these 5770's look really tempting.
Also another offline way to do it is to use mental ray's mia_material. It's extremely powerful shader and I think I remember seeing an example for download from either mymentalray.com or mrmaterials.com
Honostly im more concerned with the powerful people and politicians who think they have some sort of moral authority in this country touse things like this as fuel place more regulations on this industry
