Thanks guys :) And DKK, coolness is not defined by what you do, just who you are. I certainly have a cool job, but I think that you blokes who make computer games also have friggen good jobs. Lifes a fucking garden. Dig it. :)
I would define non violent in the intent of the game. But that being said i think a good distinction is cartoon violence and normal violence. I would consider mario cartoon violence, but team fortress 2 with it's blood, and sunset overdrive with it's zombies to be graphically violent for example.
For what I can see, doesn't look bad. But then I can't see anything! Light gray model, dark gray background, use spec to help define shapes, not to mess things up! I made an ak47 model as well, and I presented it this way:
looks great! i'd work on the diffuse some more to define some color variation on the skin, but other than that it's killer work! oh and maybe open his eyes. and why is the skin between the two rings on his legs green? bodypaint? :P keep it up!
The bottom of your bullet shouldn't have the mark from the firing pin. Only spent casing does. Also some doughy edges around the top of that barrel. it'd be worth a rebake to get more support edges in there and better define those details. stands out as-is
Nice, much better, you should define more all his muscles, you must think that a very skinny guy but with good fast muscles has almost no fat under his skin, so all the muscles and fibbers gets much more notorious.
Well, yes. All models are exported with only a diffuse applied to them, any additional maps are defined in the vmt :poly121: What is it exactly that you find so messed up with valve's exporter? The one time I used it I found it exceptionally easy to work with.
Looks good, although I'll say that honestly I feel the lighting is the weak spot here. Also, since when to they have poker games at the Top of the World? And you spelled "restaurant" wrong. You transposed the position of the "au" and the "a". LOL! Merriam-Webster defines: "Restaurant"
Ya that is a good point, the challenge becomes defining at what point studio culture crosses the line into unhealthy work practices. We do reasonable crunches here all the time, and as long as they make sense and are part of the plan there is usually very little negative impact because of it.
danr, I have a demo reel for you, and a small man I don't like. Definately going to pick up this album. Glad they decided not to end with their last record. *edit anyone else think that the 30 second teaser was a remix of Third Eye off of Aenema?
