Apparently the error was not using the CustomLightingDiffuse Channel additionally, but just calculating the diffuse part into the CustomLighting-Node. As soon as I plugged my Diffuse Colors into the CustomLightingDiffuse it worked for Skeletal Meshes again.
Don't want to be harsh, i think your lines and concepts are pretty good (slight proportions error with perspective), but the texture and color work kinda ruins it. Improvement through the thread thou.
To many times people are looking for shortcuts, but when you are at a learning stage there is no taking shortcuts- its mostly failing and learning because of that. So try and error is the way to learn, not the thing to avoid ;)
Yeah that seems very strange, the only reason why you would get the error(the post before this) is if its a non-bootable disk. May be some special requirements for the OEM or something?
Alright. Can I see the collision of your boat? Can you record the error? Are you using a pawn or a character? What happens when the player character wants to stand on the boat?
@EarthQuake Tbag 3.0 does work fine for me on this scene. The broken normal texture loads from disk but when I hit the preview button and it updates, the errors go away:
Kodde your script runs off faces & vertices ? I ran the script on both and when the script is run on vertices I get this error; planarAverage # Result: <function planarAverage at 0x00000044EAADBF98> #
another update, finished with Chara and added Frisk to the party. Now i will finish some textures that are still imcomplete or have errors, add some props and details and proceed to rig the characters.
Just finished wrapping my head around doing hair. Took a lot of trial and error but I think I got it where I want it to. Still have to do the ponytail.
I sometimes get errors like that, and I usually delete the contents of the SwarmCache folder in the UDK/binaries (I think) or delete the cache in the swarm coordinator window. That usually helped me.
