Yep, good idea. Going off my previous post. I still strongly feel that you will be doing yourself a disservice by working in QA. With another 6-8 months of steady improvement (maybe a year at max), you should have a nice folio for employers. -

Jerc and I are two different person ;) The supersampling in SD basically works the same way, if you choose 8x it computes the map at 8 times the output resolution. The only difference may be the algorithm to downsize the image. Which one do you use in PS ? Nicolas -

There is not reason why a cabin should have 8 2048 texture maps on it, and have no way of being broken into multiple different assets. You should look into how to build modular assets, how to use a grid system in your textures, and how create tileable textures. -

Thanks for the post nights i was planing on starting to do the same thing, but i still have to get generic proportions down. 8( But yours is looking fine, the inner ear looks a little off, but that seems to be in a rough state. And thanks for the tips and links everyone else. -

bake is looking pretty clean overall. You poly distribution on your cylinders is very wasteful - and could be used to chamfer some more square edges instead. eg: the barrels could start 10 sided - then down to 8 - finish as a 6. Looking forward to the texturing! -

Biotest: Directions: Take one or two capsules two times per day, each time on an empty stomach with 8 oz. of water, allowing at least six hours between doses. [taking 2 capsules on empty stomach = 3 hours spent on the toilet with the runs! -

incrament saving + autobak every 10 minutes with 8 bak files. plus ctr+s often enough. While photoshop is kinda reliable, 3dsmax is terrbily buggy sometimes. Especially when it comes to import obj files from zbrush. Argh. Downtimes and crashes.... -
