Hi, so I set it to high quality rendering because I was told thats how to view an applied texture in the window without rendering the model, but I still can't see it. Basically I want to be able to view applied textures to a model without having to render them so I can set the checker map properly. Thanks
You are looking for the Render to Texture tool. This is located under Rendering > Render to Texture (or just use the shortcut "0"). I'm not going to detail the whole process, but a quick google search will probably get you a good step-by-step process.
The Following renders have render effects on them to help create the Nior feel that I am after. Any comments that can help improve the renders would be appreciated. 1. without effects 3.With fog 5.With blackened fog
This is great! Is this for the tv show reboot or a game? What are these rendered in? Are these lit renders or do you paint the light in the texture? Sorry so many questions but I love learning about how they do pre-rendered type cinematic modeling and texturing.
still struggling to wrap my head around rendering... any feedback on that aspect would be most excellent time machine edit in response to bonebrew: this is all rendered in zbrush, tryin to learn my way around the new BPR renderer cheers
could we pleaaaaase use the definitions "offline rendernig" and "realtime rendering" just rendering does say nothing you don't render an fx-shader offline.. you can use a script like this to make a high resolution screenshot though
Great work! I love your less-rendered work, the pieces with flat colors and less shading. Seems like improving your rendering is all you need (or just stick with the more awesome, simple rendering). Really awesome stuff!
When i do it with the Projection modifier i can pick all objects with the list. but i need to bake with the render to texture window. but when i click render it passes the render in 1 second and my maps are empty. any idea?
Where you put the maps depends on whether you want to use an offline renderer (the Render button) to render a still image or a movie file, or if you want to display it "live" in the viewport like a game does. Which do you want?
I have run into this same bug, for what it's worth. Software Renderer should render all the lights in a scene regardless of number - but any light I had instanced wouldnt show up in the render. Curious to see if anyone has solved this.
