And my body sculpt: About the head, i started with a "more realistic "one but i decided to change to get closer to the concept: I'm not really sure about it. Critiques are really welcome of course.
The model looks quite good, one thing that could be smart is to make the thin elements a little bit more large. It is not realistic but it will make them more readable, especially if the prop is supposed to be in a game.
im going for a realistic approach, I will aim for vertex painting (grunnge) to hopefully tackle the problem of repeating textures, should i have 3,4 planks and make them repeat in this repeating texture?
I did a rustic iridescence in unity using only colored specular to the wings http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22781761/3dviewer/flyinginsect/WebPlayer.html This is not a realistic effect but in a limited mobile game may be a solution.
I bet that DICE has a couple of surprises for us. I also love the more realistic approach the game is talking. Pretty cool they keep in touch with soldiers to make sure the games is authentic.
this looks really nice, its quite realistic so I think the shots with the bloomy depth of field seem a bit wierd. Also the glass on the tables all seems too transparent to me.
Great job! I dig the whole stylization. It has this cartoonish feel but as I see your paintovers you are aiming for more realistic textures. I like this especially head has it's style.
The reason it looks more scifi is because there isn't a lot of construction detail. It needs bolts, screws, various seams in the wood and stuff like that before it'll look realistic. That and the pipe thingey at the bottom...
looking nice :D personally i prefer the first one, as the matte surface breaks the monotony of the bright floor. makes it more "realistic", let's say. looking forward to see more updates :)
I like this! :D Especially how the forms are nice, big, and easy to read. Sometimes people make bolts and stuff too realistically miniscule and you can't really see them haha.
