found out about competition yesterday >.< just loaded zbrush and started to dynameshing, clay-brushing, google searching~ design is mostly influenced by eastern scale-mail armor this wont be final model/color just start point. I think design is little too eastern and .. boring what do you think? critique and feedbacks…
@CVLEB91 Thanks! 😁 Sharing a bit more of the process, this is after the retopology. I've managed to get to 30k tris, including the sword and shield. I'd like to lower a bit more, but I also don't want to lose some of the details...I'll think about it, but for now I'm going with this. I've divided into 4 texture sets…
Hey @carvuliero I appreciate the wonderful feedback! I'm in the works of finishing up her clothing/armor and about to swing back around to her anatomy. *and yes I'm going for an asian female face. (: Thank you for pointing out all these adjustments that I need to keep in mind. I'll post up some updates sometime in the next…
Noticed a potential feature while watching The Dozer DVD by Eat3D (the parts where grids of holes on the outer armor and front scoop are created by selecting and insetting rows of polygons). Unless I've missed it somewhere, a toggle like the current Maya "Keep Faces Together" would be a good addition for both the extrude…
Looks cool! as for feedback I would work on the overall shape and silhouette. the body under the armor looks very plain and generic, make sure your shapes are interesting! I made a quick paint over to show what I mean, obviously you can do less or push it even more depending on how stylized you want it to be, but In the…
Alright... having some small progress... Changed some little things on character and started to sculpt an armor piece. Base meshes are ready to be sculpted, but I first tested this skull. I just started with a box for this one I'll prob give the character a finishing though afterwards (texture in sculpt, tweak more stuff…
Followed Kurt Papsteins course at Phoenix Atelier a few months ago. Postponed the project to move between countries, finishing other projects and family time. But next weekish we're back home, so then I'll pick this up completely again. I watched Grassetis Zsummit presentation, posed my dude and tried out his BPR steps.…
@Darren, Markovnikov, quockhanhlk: Thanks guys! :D @Spudnik: I suppose it could be, but ember's native armor has a quite similar amount and style of lines. So far if I zoom out it looks quite fine :) Found an old axe for Axe and decided to liven it up... Royal blinking desolator O______O And a Davy Jones Tide :D Don't…
@CaSToRx7: Thanks! I appreciate the encouragement! @AsherOS: Hmm, yea I can see what you mean about the handle/spine length. It is definitely longer in the concept. I'll be sure to fix that up. I spent a bit of time setting up all the base meshes for Orcus' armor set up. About to take them into zbrush. Here's a shot of…
Gotta get in here. Played through the campaign from midnight when it launched until 5 am, and then finished the following day. I would want to take this opportunity to say thanks for helping to make one of the most visually stunning games I've ever played. Just curious, do you know if any of the character artists have/…
