are you opening it in 4R7 64 bits version? if not, try that since it handles larger ztools than the regular 32 bits one. else it seems like it would be about time to dig through the Quicksave folder in search of something salvageable. -
Does MAX archive incremental saves of your work?
...cause that would totally rock. I lost some work last night due to a crash and im trying to figure out if there is any way to salvage it. Im not at home right now so i cant check it. Anyone know? -

Same, my first pc build was mostly salvaged parts and my second has re-used pieces from my first. Just be gentle with it, make sure you push it in firmly then use the tabs to take it out. Graphics cards are usually pretty sturdy as far as computer components go, and messing with one of those (and alternatively, the ram) is… -

You could try to salvage by letting them know you can't do it, but would like to learn. Then it's up to them to take the chance, if they liked… -

i've seen exploding uvs in maya 6, troubling to see it in 8.5.. I dont think you can salvage it man you'd better start over. only thing I can suggest is making sure you're not viewing some other uv set you've added my mistake. saving iterations while you do stuff will help with these nasty surprises :/ -

Currently where my horrid wip is sitting. Still deciding if this one should be sent off to the recycle bin or if this is salvageable in any degree. I'll post some comments and critiques tomorrow for the recent fantastic updates from you guys and gals.
