Looking good! The Building is excellent but you might want to work on the grass and path a little more, the grass should have more height variety and should be taller towards the porch and shorter at the path. And the path should be darker at the edges, and lighter where people have been walking on it. Hope this makes…
I think you've misinterpreted the structure to either side of the doorway. I think they're supposed to be open gates, rather than a fence. The opening should also be wider -it looks to be ~4 door widths. The outer wall should be taller, and the gateposts thicker, and their tops should be even with the tops of the spikes on…
This is coming along nicely! Nice job. One thing that stands out to me is the bumps on the yellow non-slip sections on the sidewalk. The bumps look much larger and taller than similar ones I've seen IRL: Nice job otherwise though, keep going :)
I like where you're going with this. The proportions of the main house, and therefore the entire scene, don't really match the feel of the concept. In the concept it looks taller and skinnier - maybe a camera angle thing too - which contributes to the whole scene being read as more vertical.
Last of the corals blocked in, promise. Felt like it needed a couple more taller species to break up the space so I made those today. Also have the main rock piece in the scene. Tomorrow, definitely tackling the kelp animation and then start texturing finally...
200cm is about 6 foot 5.5 inches, a good deal taller than an average person. Yes, I'd make them to scale. It shouldn't cause problems other than probably needing good detail texturing if you get the camera up close to the giants.
Amazing details. The only thing I can critk is that the mecha it is not so taller as the mecha in the concept, if you keep the height of the environment maybe it is going to be a bit weird( much empty space over the mecha). You are using alphas in 3dmax? Or just turbosmooth and nothing more?
Just had a quick go at tweaking the lighting and the proportions of the table/chairs. Made the chair/table a bit taller and tried adding a blue tint to the scene. I think it looks a bit better but will probably need to do some more tweaking to get it looking good.
It looks like it needs more body between the front and back legs. If you look at gorilla's, even though they are stubby, there is still more room between those areas. There also needs to be more middle body. Needs to be taller in the front section above the front legs
The camera angle doesn't help, and his size matches the counter strike source biped =/. I actually superposed my model with a ripped Snake model from MGS2 and it's slightly broader, but not taller. I'll post some posed renders tonight, it looks way better.
