Hi great update! Thank you I go this error: # Error: RuntimeError: file /Users/rami/Library/Preferences/Autodesk/maya/scripts/zPipeMaker.py line 815: Object 'zPipeScroll' not found. I'm using Maya 2019, and I sent all steps I have done in your email Can help? thanks
The script is ready. You can find it here. The mini TTI can't be docked, but when the title bar and the borders are removed you can't move it, so place it in proper place and it will stay there. Watch the video to see how to use the script. Tested on 3dsMax 2009 through 2015, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Video demonstration.
Truthfully, I enjoyed the 701 build up ... Brad had a whole series of videos there which was fun. 801 launch was a bit of a dead fish but you can't win them all. A great version, mind you, but the launch was definitely limp. Especially the hour long web cast event where basically ... nothing happened.
Quick update for something I was considering. I'm not sure if I like these, because they block so much of the scene. Dot-111 tankers being left behind to rust. Some rail beams, tools, etc. on the sides. Been playing a lot of The Last of Us and Crysis 2 though, so a makeshift quarantine environment is still on the mind :)
Tried messing with it a bit more. Changing it to an unlit, additive material took it down to 27 'base pass' shader instructions and 111 vertex shader ones. That definitely sounds much more efficient. Anyway - should I sort of disregard the amount of vertex shader instructions, and only pay attention to the other number (59…
After the v8 release, I won't install it at work until at least 8.1. Looking through the feature list also left me feeling 'meh'. At this point I'll settle for very little less that a full core rewrite with a good deal of the legacy code removed, an improved UI, and a maxscript listener that doesn't have selective hearing.
Odd. They overhauled the UV viewport interaction for 801 and made it a lot faster in general than 701 was. Have you got a particularly heavy scene with lots of items? It does struggle with those, even if they're hidden. Or do you have a preview/rayGL window open somewhere that's retriggering after each change?
