Um, it's already been proven to be good: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Security_(United_States) A limited form of the Social Security program began as a measure to implement "social insurance" during the Great Depression of the 1930s, when poverty rates among senior citizens exceeded 50 percent. Before SS was…
I use powers of 2 for everything. A light would have intensity 64, radius 768 for example :) A sound must have radius 1536 or so. I really cant even type 1500 or 1530. Impossible to type. Thats what you get for starting out with BSP where the numbers really did make a difference. I stuck to the system. Keeps it all nicely…
Woot! 3rd post in a row, neways, the above question is still valid... but while I tried to fix it in Photoshop this happened http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/9630/whyfv0.jpg EX: when I load an image in PS it changes the color. It's a clean install with no weird settings. I can't continue texturing when it's like this...…
Hi, I’m looking for a concept artist to design a cover image for an upcoming PC game, The Cinema Rosa (https://www.indiedb.com/games/projection). The game is set in an abandoned 1930s art deco cinema, and the style of the cover image should reflect this. Screenshots and other images can be provided on request. I’m inspired…
Hey! My latest project was my entry for the Flipped Normals Fairy Tales Challenge. I decided to make Red Riding Hood in a Film Noir/Sin City style. It was a lot of fun, even though I was a late to the contest, I kept her simple and finished in time You can see my work in progress…
are you going for realism here? you should check out Polish armor from the 1600. they rocked a pretty sweet layered plate mail that was pretty much the best in the world. if you want practical, no offense, but there is probably nothing "new innovative" we can come up with today that folks back then didn't try already. and…
Nice model and bake, but I feel the material needs a lot of work. Generally speaking military paint is very mat with a lower gloss than your average car. It could also do with a cubemap to really sell the reflections that you can see. The glass would be better because of this.…

15 day trial or buy for £600 / $900 (ouch) The system requirements are a bit hefty too. • Quad-core processor • Linux 64-bit operating system (Kubuntu, Ubuntu, Fedora Core, or CentOS 5) • 250GB disk space available for caching and temporary files (or a minimum of 50GB if you're working on a small project) • 4GB RAM •…
http://www.acer.com/aspires7/en_US/ The acer s7 ultrabook has a 10 point touchscreen on a laptop. Not sure if its a wacom level. Its being promoted by a cg character Megan Fox. The specs are similar to the Ugly IBM one. That so far seems the best bet right now. Its like 1600 the IBM with a SSD drive, which should improve…
