http://legacymusichour.blogspot.com/ I'm a big fucking nerd so I listen to this podcast at work. They play 8-bit and 16-bit songs, every episode is themed. Pretty rad and interesting and I get to hear great songs from games I never knew existed.
I assume you have some kind of Exposure Control active. Open your Environment & Effects Window (8 on your Keyboard) and have a look...deactivate it or use photometric lightsources. They are meant to be used with Exposure Control active. You'll have to work in realistic size then, though.
I can second Katon's class, really great teacher and a ton of info. Jon Rush's 8 week class is equally great. Similar pipeline but different methods. Both were well worth the money. Plus you have access to the videos as long as you want.
Gnomon just published details about the opening of the Art of Substance Gallery this Friday at 8:00pm during the Substance Days. Hope to see you guys there, we'll also have a Rocket League tournament going on with the guys from Psyonix and DJ Wrex will be spinning all evening!

hand-painting the normals would go a long way toward this effect, which is what this krita plugin is attempting to do. Check it out, skip to around 8 min mark. I guess it works by picking up on the tilt of your wacom tablet, looks very interesting.
Looks fun..but isn't the game like $70? And I heard you can't even beat the last boss until you buy a bunch of the other toys..and $8 per toy, or a $20 package for three toys, and there are around 30 of them? That just seems scummy to me.
Hello! It doesn't look 'off', it looks like a large 8-10m corridor, if it's your taste, no problem man ;) If you want to fit the theme you showed, then reduce it, it looks less open wide indeed... Thread subscribed, i love your Scifi meshes, gg ;)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNdQHzQNsg4&feature=youtu.be A few days late due to some things on my end, but it's finally here. In todays Episode 8 of FATM, part 2/4, we continue our new project with the iron from our Sword Clubset.
