Small update! :) We've begin making our first animated unit. The basic Footman! Model by Sourc[e]x and texture by myself. The below is a WIP. We're still on the lookout for a second talented modeler to join us ;)
I'm not entirely sure on the accuracy either. On Nintendo's side I couldn't see them covering smaller games already announced like Mario Maker, and Xenoblade Chronicles X has already been released in Japan.
This is great post explaining all that. https://www.riggingdojo.com/2014/10/03/everything-thought-knew-maya-joint-orient-wrong/ main thing is consistency in the joint chain, whether X is twist axis, or Y or Z.
Some differents test for the head . The 4 look like the original base sculpt. Do not hesitate to give me your favorite ... hard to choose x) I like the 3 , maybe i will try other test .
Hi people, Finishing the year with a making of I did for the X-TAON contest by Allegorithmic. Wish you all a new year full of improvements and eureka moments. Cheers! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qd-lrrspUiQ
The graffiti will be Decals in the end, just fancied having a play with them XD Also thought I would show the barbed wire, its basically a 1024 x 256 tiling texture wrapping around the helix plane
brightness and contrast ratios are just inflated numbers that don't mean much for the actual quality of the display. I'd look at Dell's U2312HM or U2212HM. Also 1920 x 1200 would suck at 27in for being a computer monitor.
It's actually pretty cheap and doesn't really hold up so well if looked at closer.. x) Those are just a few tiny planes with the same texture placed there.. they don't even line up so well atm.
To clarify I'm doing a x: -1 under the duplicate special option box. It flips the geo along with a -1 on the uvmap. I usually reversed the normals to make them blue but the texture still shows it being reversed.
Moose: What version of 3DCoat are you using? I've worked with it's painting features pretty extensively for a few years and I've found it more stable then my dabblings in Zbrush. I was using v3.x and later v4.
