I checked the average normals box in substance and got instantly much better results: https://gyazo.com/b4029e8dde7aabef4405464d433bc141 2nd Picture: https://gyazo.com/fc573b974264e07dbce92d53c16ed078 Thank you man! What do you thing? is there any more improvements?
Good concept to work with and I like the composition of the 2nd version you did. Thanks for sharing those quick little videos, always good to see techniques behind some amazing stuff. Look forward to seeing more progress.
Dang man, This stuff rocks! Really solid work. Do you mind if I as what that last map was? The first was your diffuse, 2nd was the spec... But I have never seen a map that looks like that last one. Glossiness?
Welcome to Polycount! Some of the damaged parts of the environment seem unrealistic. The 2nd and 3rd floors of the damaged buildings seem to be bent and have pretty much no support keeping them up. Also, the bending on the sign post is a little too extreme.
SuperOstrich - that's why I suggested making two and rotating the 2nd one 90 degrees... then you can use the Spacing tool with the same settings on both, and avoid having to manually select every other link afterwards and rotate them
I cant wait for this movie, im skeptical about some things but I really am looking forward to this regardless but I probably wont like it until they get into the 2nd movie and the earth kingdom :X Toph +Iroh = awesome
it sort of reversed it the first time, it went from being ok on the uv panel, to being messed up i nthe 3d space, and i have in open in another window which i drag onto my 2nd monitor
PBF is so great. You almost have to do a double take sometimes to get the TRUE thrust of the joke. Often times its really really twisted but could see it happening in real life. "April 2nd" comes to mind.
I'm glad people like my fun stuff :D Your the 2nd person that's said you would wear one of my designs on a shirt. *scratches head* If more people think so I might try something.
Cheap-ass way of doing the edging... use a Falloff map and tweak the mix curve. Put your diffuse in the first Falloff slot, change color of 2nd slot to black. Falloff does respect bump, but the alphas are going to be tough.
