Here is an update. I've started to populate the scene. Need to start working on the ground textures and also modify the cliffs. Overall tweak everything so things match better.
Obscura, how would you go about treating/modifying the seams on organic models? Are hardening the normals along UV borders works specifically on hard surface? Thanks.
apply an edit mesh modifier and then export as an obj, should fix the issue. i've had it a few times, i can never replicate it but i know that fixes it for me.
AObscuraGrimwolf, thank you for the suggestions. I wasn't aware that the low poly had to be smoothed, too. Which would you recommend: T-Smooth modifier or smoothing groups?
I watching all good crits and working on that. Within a few days the modified version will be posted here. I am working on the video you showin in Post #18
thank you! This was 2018, I messed with posterization, and curve modifiers in the material settings. I haven't had a chance to try out the NPR, but the examples look pretty awesome.
ya, Rig is used as character RIGging; Creating handle for joints that are used for animation is called "Rig" Mod CPUs / Modified CPUs are the words you are looking for. EDIT: Voted. :)
Hey Zipfinator, A friend of mine has this tutorial (http://eat3d.com/udk_cinematics) and I believe they mention that in a section called "modifying plants", I'll ask him how they did it :)
