@pmiller001 Haha nice! I didn't even pose him yet I only opened his mouth to model it, but he looks pretty constipated. Textures are halfway there, need to tinker and hit some balance between all the different elements. Any feedback is appreciated!
Verm: Sometimes people have different opinions to you. In fact I think people will always have different opinions than you if you want to lump Brazil in with 2 no brainers like 5th element and Star Wars later 3 films heh. r.
Why not just float the whole thing? Clone the faces you want to extrude from into a seperate object and extrude from *that*, topology issues shouldn't be a factor? You could even float a third 'trim' element over it to smooth the transition. Assuming this is for normal mapping, of course.
ghost: like this? going to need a few more tweaks, especially on the tubes and juggling around a few elements on the UV map... but i think anyone who wants to skin this should be pleasantly surprised, it's very nicely organized and easy to follow will have the SDK up tomorrow.
Talon's point of filters to multiple layers. Also Image > Adjust > *** to multiple layers at once. I oftentimes need to boost levels, desaturate, etc certain elements of an image, and it would be nice to do this on the corresponding layers themselves rather than using a masked adjustment layer.
Thanks Eric, yeah wanting to do specific overlays. So if you make an extra detail map why not then just map it all to a unique set of UV2's? Instead of going to every element and offsetting it trying to find the right bit of texture? The budget is the same.
Also in the sub object of edit poly if you select all the polys/elements and clear the smoothing groups, or auto assign it will clear up some of the shading issues you have. Looking good so far, you've got a pretty good grasp on form. Keep at it =)
Hey, congrats on getting a game out there! I like the appealing colors, and the texture style for the dirt and the background. I think it could use a more carefully-arranged palette to separate level elements, for better cohesion and readability. For example, see the way the art director here did it for League of Legends:…
Hey all! Today, some paintover + concept art, to understand where I wanted to go in the future with this. Included are ideas from the original concept art but a little more refined, some changes to previously modelled things, and some new elements I want to include. Notably I want the metal bands around the hands, thighs…
Yeah some of this are real nice , lots of cool possibilities Looks to me that you are having fun with those so make more maybe miss and match elements You could be a bit more specific now maybe bring one more cliche what kind of costume or fighting style she be using ? Whats the level of technology
