I added some polys on the wires going to the scope! I'm still unsure about the connectors, still not decided if it's worth the upped triangle count ;P Still, I did the tripod and continued working a bit on the textures. Still open to criticism and advice on what's not working quite right ;P
Decided to return to my Firefly character today and make significant changes to his facial structure. I need to study facial skin and pore variation before I continue applying alphas though. This render style is heavily inspired by Adam Skutt's and Eiad Dahnim's renders for The Order 1886.
So continuing on with the one project for my client I am doing the room of the casino, still need to be populated with more of the content I am building out, but it is getting there. See the full size version here... http://cody-rauh.deviantart.com/art/WIP-1-Occulus-Rift-Casino-445953679
ok thanks, sorry I missed your repsonse when I commented the first time. I agree the chords should be reduced. The back panels are seperate form the case to prevent ngons. Thanks, I will continue with textures edit: you're also right about the unnecessary edgeloops elsewhere to
Low poly + bakes + some base colors + specular/gloss adjustments. Critiques highly encouraged since I know I have trouble with texture definition (already having trouble with the body/legs...) PS: Should I pose Moto before I continue work on texturing or after?
Thanks for the crit! I've actually used perspective intensively in the last couple pieces. I agree that I can continue to grow in this particular area, but I try to not make the perspective obvious. Here are the persp lines from the last work. Keep coming with the crits guys, I'd like to grow!
Choool! Actually I missed almost the whole thread earlier.... If you continue going this way, you will be a kind of Lonewolf one day, just keep going studying, and practicing. I still see some.. emm... Some edge thingy, but the overall feel is great. Also, welcome back! :)
It's a total mess. You need to start over and pay attention to where you put your edges (edges that don't define anything are a waste). And make the model more than a few primitive shapes slapped together. Grab a basic modeling tutorial and work through it before you continue.
Hey, Mop. Thanks. Now I know what to continue doing right. Thankyou all for taking the time to write. Obviously the work struck enough of a cord for you to stop and type, and for that, thankyou for your time. More to come. I knew I should've used the Spice Girls for the music.
Yeah, kinda figured the van wasn't with you... just hoping to lighten your mood Sounds like it might be worth breaking the lease early just to get the hell out of there if this continues. Sounds like you might have moved into the ghetto district if the apartments look as bad as you mentioned.
