Hey, that's awesome! I love the proportions and style. He seems to have lost his muscular arms in the translation from concept to 3d though. I assume that was intentional. Out of interest, is this already rigged and posed, or are you modelling it straight into this pose? Can't wait to see the highpoly :)
Dantert, OMG I didn`t realize that all of his skins do have 3 handles =O It seems I need to redo highpoly and all of maps.. I think can deal with it. And I`ll have time to work with metal too =) thank you for that!
Lol, that made me laugh Gauss! Sparkle wonderfully rendered with its pink fur. The poor cat must go through hell getting its fur dyed regularly. But it is so silly! But that's the idea, just crazy. It needs to be modeled, a Zbrush highpoly for the normal map! Lol
Its looks good, some of the shapes on the gas pump are just placed there (If your baking normals from a highpoly) You should make those have nice bevels instead of just making it another geometry where you could have them connected. Just a thought
Update: i made some sort of highpoly and after 30 minutes of rendering it finally made a normalmap thorugh crazybump i crated a specmap and this is how it looks a the moment (very forggy^^) edit: unfortuantely zbrush mocked up the head, so i have to redo it later
Even if he used a additional bevel, that thingy left of the door should show up a baked normal quite well, I guess that a to hard edge on the high poly might be a problem? Cause in the last screen you showed us of the highpoly, the edges looked reaaallyy tight.
Ive done about 80% of the low poly, its for animation so can anyone give me advice, will it animate as it is now or should I make some changes? Ive also gotta add some extra polys here and there to bring out the forms of the highpoly underneath.
It looks nice and all... but Imo it is waaaay to "square" looking. Lots and lots of really sharp angles. Makes it look like alot of boxes pasted together. Like a really lowpoly gun, but in highpoly. Try to smooth out some of the forms maybe? give it some curving shapes.
Hey Guys! i finally found some time to work more on the Highpoly! Generally i am quite happy with how she looks right now. So i would say there is not much stopping me right now to start with the Lowpoly :) Here is what i have so far:
Clean modeled highpoly is not a dynames like mesh. Its clean modeling just without a poly limit. Do a bevel with 5 segments if you need a clean edge. Modeling like you would do for product viz. Even a converted Fusion 360 mesh would work.
