i liked the original hair much more... kind of reminded me of the fifth element movie also have you tried her with a more mature face? she kinda looks like a teen at the moment but that might be what you're going for xD
Hi! are you determined to do the hardsurface stuff in zbrush? I tend to export my base anatomy model to maya and then build the hardsurface elements in maya over the anatomy, seems more precise to me but I know some people are amazing with zmodeler.
I think you are making good progress on painting the shapes but you need to work on your tiling. You have some repeating elements in the texture itself which you should try to avoid. Otherwise it is really obvious that your texture is tiled.
Third assignment, this one was to animate a ball with personality, I found it pretty challenging and welcome any critique, the key elements meant to show off are anticipation, squash and stretch and the ball making a choice to do something. http://syncsketch.com/playground/20d44942e914465d8bdb5374d69a2b86#60406
Updates, updates :) Not much to say this time. Constructing the body further and further. Got rid of the old truck look, now it looks more like a tough guy truck which is what I am going for! Mixing in Baja truck elements here and there.
i picked this up again. Had no time to even think about vaguely interesting design elements, so the whole thing is a total cop-out. Hey ho, fun to be painting textures for once, and i might *even finish ... yeah yeah ...
@l.croxton thanks man :) . Yeah i will be adding dirt and stuff, was just showing it as it is now just incase the normal was off or stuff. Yeah i think i might do another tile of this with broken elements :) ! Thanks man I appreciate the feedback!
I don't know if you thought about this already, but your scene needs some foreground elements too. I can't wait to see all the little extra details you planned to add. Overall I'm loving the progress, keep it up!
Thanks for the reply! Yes I'm baking in max. I just tried separating each uv element into a different smoothing group using textools, but the results were no different. Here's some nicer screenshots from UE4. Ignore the ear/split lip.
what do you mean by merge ? as long as you just combine different mesh chunks while keeping the mesh elements disconnected topologically, you cannot resurface in mudbox. that is the first thing i tried when i installed mudbox2014 trial.
