Hi Adnan and thanks for the support. 1. That's cool, no problem for that. 2. Is solved. I did as you said and it worked. Is that ok that the Switch Parameter wiped out? or it concerns the #1 answer? Thanks a lot for you time. Best, T
Thanks, now that I have a little more knowledge, the link which I looked at prior to starting this thread made more sense. The problem is solved, but there are little holes in the mesh in Mud, I'll have to close them up :( :) !
There is not enough information to solve this problem. But from the looks of it, your normal map UVs are totally bad. unwrap the mesh from scratch and make an even bake. Provide these next time; Low poly topology/wireframe Uv templates
From the video it seems that you are trying to unwrap an n-gon, and I think that algorithm can't figure out how to solve it. Try to tessellate to a decent amount of polygons, there should be an internal tool or plugin that do that in 3ds Max.
I think I found that other post, doesn't enlighten me much, just the fact I can use F5 thru F8 to cycle the directions...thanks Eric,as normal . Doesn't solve the prob though. John
Finally! Still not entirely solved. (it will only let me use the move brush atm...) but at least I got one head out! Feels good to be back into modelling now, albeit a bit after :) Day 15 model:
I have read that using the crytek materials as base , like replacing their textures with urs solves the problem , but the problem is that I am on the blue mars editor and I dunno if I can import those materials do u ?
Ok thanks. It did solve the problem, but if anyone knows a better way please feel free to let me know. Still wondering is it takes less computer power to render more polygons or make a material 2 sided.
Okay thanks! I'll try out the sculptris pro mode and see how it works. I dont think dynamic subdivision will help? Isn't it just a preview of subdividing so I dont think it solves my issue.
ah, good ol' humans, always there when you need to destroy something good with selfish stupidity I still think we should take all the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself
