2gb on one stick has always been much more expensive than two 1gb sticks as hawken said. if you want a 4gb stick you'll have to take out a 2nd mortage!

The 2nd mesh is shown in subdivided mode with isoline display. Isoline is the lowpoly wireframe being curved by subdivision. I put examples on our wiki that might help you. http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/FaceTopology
Alot to go over here, but can you post the ref images you're using? Not bad for a 2nd try? But there's alot of anatomical issues right now... detailing shouldn't be on your mind just yet.
I was trying to find a better example of the 2nd program, I saw one that switched between photos to make a fake 3D experience that was really cool too (not just rotating, but panning and zooming as well).

Nope, no script. Just animated a 360 degree rotation, Make Preview out to AVI, and converted to animated GIF. First tree doesn't look like it's shading correctly. 2nd tree... can you show the wireframe?
