@adam - i think for me it just seems like the metal bits on the char seem like a tiled metal texture rather than having normals and what not. Like they're letting the geometry put more detail into it than the actual texture. I'm probably wrong. It just doesn't seem like anything on the characters texture POPS out much. as… -

Keep at it, and dont get discouraged crits maybe harsh but there's truth in here. Polycount will tell you the truth, even if it hard and cruel, but it will make you a better artist if you listen to the crits and work on them! I thought of that, and tried removing it (cleaned my Maya.env and userSetup.mel) and moving the OMTools folder out, but missed the section in the userPrefs.mel ... so I just now removed that and tried again (with custom shelf blown-away, and re-doing install of your button) but it still throws up same message on attempting… -

Hey Vig Cheers for pointing me in the direction of that asset tracker,not used/seen it before. So its listed the same files as the pop-up says. My basic question is now,how do I get rid of them? I need to able to net render/send the scene off for farming possibly and im unable to do this if that missing external files… -

Me-thinks he could do this on his own and learn something. Since its a milkshape file and I don't think anyone here uses milkshape you might want to export it as .3ds or .obj. I assume most people (me included) often just use Photoshop because its the fastest way to update textures. Most macro scripts always end up saving to an absolute URL and choosing each time save as .... is just a nightmare if you need to do it very often, adobe should finally provide a function to quickly export (map able)…
