I did this for fun, at my own pace, but I want to make many of these and start selling them for other people to use! Gonna sell this for $15 and see what happens! :-0 But I want to make a whole set, so they can go together in the same project!
I'm currently on the look out for a job and freelance work, any improvements to my portfolio would be an immense help (or if you know anyone looking for people :p) Anyway here's a bit of an update :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mUGX-4sgk8g#t=0
I'm not sure Unreal supports Animations that are not bone driven. The easiest thing to do would be creating a small box as b_root, linking the other object to it. Make a Snapshot of the Object on Frame 0 and skin it to these two bones (with no influences of b_Root). Keep in mind to enable Bone Translation in the AnimSet.
Nah "Snap together" -tool got it's own area on the MM. Move A to B is a MEL-script:string $sel[] = `ls -sl`;string $sel1 = $sel[0];string $sel2 = $sel[1];parentConstraint $sel2 $sel1;string $constraint = $sel1+"_parentConstraint1";delete $constraint; (And it operates on meshes)
Looking forward to the new release. Global SI level works as you would expect....I had it set to 0 with a map applied, tried with a greyscale map, color map, painted in different areas to see if it was working...no luck. I'll give it a go again tomorrow to verify.
Definitely stands out much more now but I think it could do with a bit more of a sparkle that you would expect from the glass like this http://i.ytimg.com/vi/w96tPL29J0Q/0.jpg try adding more contrast to the specular, that should give you the sparkle.
Set your models to one smoothing group and try to have the least amount of modifiers possible. Also, avoid RT lights of the Nitrous, and make sure your UV's are NOT stressed or set outside the 0-1 space. These right the top of my head kill Max's Viewport.
Enable snap to grid (the snap menu button in the texture editer), then either enable snapping or hold ctrl to toggle it on. You could also enter in the coordinates manually, so if you had verts that were close to the border, you could select them and enter 0 or 1
you tell us to watch out of nudity... <:0 WE ALL CLICKED HERE BECUASE OF THE NUDITY! >:@ Seriously now. I watch your pics over and over, I love learning from such well done models. There's so much knowledge in your art, thanks!
Don't use pawn. Extend the class from actor, and set it to receive input from player 0. Also set the game mode to not spawn a character or pawn. Then if you spawn or place two of your new paddle actors, both of them will react to the button presses properly.
