Before you continue to work out the details of the fanny pack, take a look at some reference. I think the seam stitching need a rework. Take a look at this picture and you surely know what I mean: All in all good work on the whole character.
Cars is all about the Merch. For some inexplicably reason, the toys, games and other tie ins they've got sell in vast, vast quantities and continue to do so long after each film has been released. Somewhere in in the area of $10 billion dollars.
Hey all! I have officially graduated! Here is the final result. Thanks for everything guys!! :) After my graduation I will be continuing the environment and hopefully a short cinematic like video. Here's the video showing off the robot! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qVMKEKuTNU
You should polypaint her face to have a better understanding of how the end product will look. Paint the face and the eyes, add some temporary hair and continue from there. The face needs some significant changes in order for it to look like the reference images you've shown.
Perhaps if NewTek/LW3DG would give a nod to game artists; they have continually ignored game artists for YEARS. Despite myself and a spartan few others "reminding" them of the large base of potential users available. You can't force someone to help themselves it seems.
I think I'll just continue working on the scene, and once I'm at the lighting phase, I'll start messing with the shadow settings and what not. The lights in the scene now are basically just work lights. The walls are reddish because that's how it is in the art that I'm referencing from. :D
Thank you for finding those links. I am at work currently so was going to attempt to install it at home first. I am using 2012, will this be ok? or would it be better to use an earlier version? That is a shame that it has been discontinued, hopefully continued use will not be a problem.
Dinner Time Character I made based on the game PUBG. I continued the anatomy practice from the previous post and give her some clothes. This is my very first time making boots, shorts, and other accessories, and I'm glad it turns out nicely.
Thank you for the advice guys. I'll take it all on board and post some improvements asap. I'm going to be continually working on improving my skills up until i graduate and post regular updates to get as much feedback as i can. Thanks again :)
Sorry for the late reply. The material is the MR_PresentationMat_01 here from Polycount, a little bit customized. I didn't continued the work on the project, but well I started a few new projects. Maybe I will finish it this year, at least the Sub-D. There are only a few parts missing.
