Yesterday I listened to this very interesting interview (two parts) and you can too. Today the show continued with this interview dealing with ancient atmosphere and dinosaurs. The interviewee, Peter Ward (just today)mentioned this site, which I bothered to read a bit of. http://www.realclimate.org/ Here's a critique of…
alright. its been some time since ive posted an update. did not get a chance to work on it too much this weekend, but i found some time today. after a gigantic reference hunt yesterday, ive started the apparel for my character. ive only taken two pieces into zbrush though. here's what we've got so far.
you're thinking about it too hard. Its a game in outer space, where they fight on floating squares, against things that shoot lasers. apples to icecream. they're both edible, but two completely different things. check out some of the vids, it looks a lot better in motion than those super high-res screenshots.…
Yes it does have wireframe mode, And also there is an area viewer too, two actually. The old modelviewer can export models in Metasequoia format. Which can be easily imported into max :D Click here for all your ffxi dat hacking needs. Also if someone would make a darth vader mod for this game id put a up a shrine in their…
I recall a series that I cant put a name too. It featured real people (two kids mainly) and I believe one of them (a boy) was alien or something. But he looked human. However I think i recall him talking to a crystal...or maybe the crystal spoke. Who knows. It was neat though. Had to have been early 80's.
Thanks guys! Some sketches. Trying to keep some of the exaggerated limb
proportions from the original illustrations. Also exploring how her prosthetic
apparatus could work with the shoulder pad a la fury road, but it started to
look too complicated and too many straps, so I might just keep it simple. The big ass police…
Hi, I really like your model :-). If you're willing though I can give you some feedback on the animation.... The side-to side motion on the hips and tail is nice, but there's two major changes need to make your work stand out more: 1) The legs. Currently they move in parallels (e.g. As the back leg moves, so does the front…
I may be the wrong person to give advice since we're at a similar skill level I'd say. But I think our work suffers from similar flaws, and that's the texturing. On your Squig, the tongue, eyes, and the yellow circles on its head look like they should be shinier. I feel like it's skin doesn't have enough small color…
Thanks for the replies. Sure made me think hard. I do get stuff done comfortably in Maya. In fact I love Maya. I just feel maybe I am too much in love and can't see it's short comings objectively. My Maya subscription ran out last month and I have not renewed it. I will start giving Modo a serious 1-2 week try and see how…
Overall it seems pretty good if this is your first PBR prop. Looks like you've got normal and stuff down, although there are some minor issues at the top of the jaws. I think the metal is a a bit too dark compared to what I'm expecting to see from your albedo map. It seems to just be an issue in the third image and your…
