Hello everyone! My name is Michael Clarke (aka Xynode). I haven't posted on Polycount before since I have been very slack and not managed to reach out as of yet. But that's about to change. I would love to get some opinions and perhaps give some back in return as well as showcase my art from time to time between projects.…
the folds on the sweatshirt need some love. remember that each fold has it's own lightest point and darkest point. just making dark streak does not read as a fold. try painting using a real sweatshirt under light as reference.

Good foundation but I would say just spend more time refining the materials and hand-painting in some wear/damage. It looks a little uniform and lacks character right now. Think about what level of wear you want, and maybe ground it into storytelling/environment. Is it supposed to be heavily damaged? Is it just normal…
It's painted nicely and all, but what is the point in having the guy be soo high poly ( especially when it's hand painted). Also you have holes in the back of the ears, the bottom of the pedestal has weird uvs underneath. Weird UVs with the base of the flag as well.
