modeling for animation
when modeling a character for animation do I model there weapons in the same file as the character or do I make a separate model and import it? My programs of choice are akeytsu and iclone7 if that helps any. I'm new to both programs so I'm still learning how to use them. I'm just looking for a push in the right direction -

Maya Animation to MD2 format.
Is it possible to take a model and animation from Maya and convert it to MD2 format without using Milkshape? Like a plugin.. Any recommendations? Thanks Orville -
