It died down because it's pretty easy to have a synced workflow now. PBR and reflections show sync errors worse than before so it's still very important.
Thanks for the feedback! I was trying to achieve a look of plate I found on the internet, you know, with trial and error and such, don't know how much I got out of it.
I was under the impression that you were exporting the nurbs into zbrush and just smoothing the errors out and exporting a un-editable mesh back out for baking. My mistake.
dont forget, if you calculate your normalmaps with one set of triangle stripes, and then let the engine triangulate, the triangle stripes may be different and you will get smoothing errors.
What is your process of generating normal maps? From the images in your portfolio it looks like you have shading errors, and bad gradients on a lot of your models.
Mkay, I figured as much but when I went in to clean it up, I still got errors with the bake so at the moment was just trying to get something to work :/
Post your work > Receive crits > Correct your mistakes > Improve > Success Don´t show > no crits > errors still there > they are repeated endeless times > frustration > failure.
I tried the following: I took and STL check clicked "Everything" and then "Check" and after the check it says 0 isolated vertecies so can this just be a detection error?
