I finished this today for the MGAC over on CGtalk. Unfortunately, no one else entered. With no competative drive I totally shitted it out...almost to the point I wasn't going to post it. 360 tris, and a touch less than the 512sx1024 total. http://chrisholden.net/desklamp_beauty.jpg Flats, wire shot and high detail base…
729 MHz IBM PowerPC "Broadway" CPU 243 MHz ATI "Hollywood" GPU 24MB "main" 1T-SRAM 64MB other 1T-SRAM 3MB texture memory on GPU Beyond that, not much can be found about either the GPU or the CPU. From certain videos, it is apparent that the GPU is capable of using several shaders, but who knows The first Xbox had a 733mhz…
I would just reduce the height of the texture to a 2:1(512x256) ratio, then rotate all the bits that you have standing up right now so they are horizontal and cram it all in there, should fit quit snuggly judging on the scaling you have right now.
Cut the spec on the tire texture a bit. Here's an update, finished up some Budweiser beer bottles and beer cans (no specific allegiance to this beer, the color scheme just fits). They both use the same 512x512 texture, got a little tricky with UV's and crammed in a lot of Polys into a VERY small space on the can, :D .…
The fire hydrant is great, but at 512x512 you may have a hard time being allowed to waste that much memory on such a small object. Creation wise the asset is fine, UV map is spot on too, and the pice really comes together. But I would try and get that on a 256x256, I dunno maybe thats just me, but I think you could pull…
I got an Inspiron 9300, specs below, for $1200 with a rebate: Pentium M 1.6ghz 512MB RAM GeForce 6800 Go 256MB Some onboard sigmatel audio thing 17" widescreen Intel PRO Wireless 2915 ABG (I think) And there's other crap in there too, but that's the general gist. Gets my recommendation, since I love it.
PAF (Punk Ass Fraggers) is hosting the file and has it up in thier server rotation. It would rock if you wanted to host it also. Post the link when you can and I will add it to the steam thread. Server: paf2.nuclearfallout.net:27015 Site: http://www.punkassfraggers.com New version out tho, no nav file. I have to spend a…
uhm theres no material on them? its just his sculpt. anyway just a idea for you Xoliul you could sculpt the rocks like you are doing and then udk utilize a tileabke material with tileable normals, stacked with the normals you've created with the low poly mesh of the sculpted rocks, essentially you'll have one base tileable…
