Something is wrong with your edges. I don't know what's going on with the lumpiness on the wood itself though. It's making the entire sculpt seem soft instead of hard. For hard surfaces try and stay away from the smooth brush. I would make the wood grains more deep as well. That will help them stand out a little more. Hope… -

Nice improvement, for the anatomy my advice would be to focus on blending between the different elements. Right now it feels that the muscles are carved with the same intensity and brush. looks cool, but don't know if an engine would crumple like a soda can, and I think the fan blades would not warp like that, but rather just break off. Also, I don't think it looks very futuristic, by that I mean, it looks too much like a regular jet engine. I think you've taken on a real challenge here. -

hey there, the horns are the best part, nice and round. go easy on the smudge, too much and it looks too soft, as this is suffering from a bit. also every once in a while, flip your canvas, and look at it zoomed way out. its feeling kind of flat as an overall volume, and if you look at it from far out it will make that… -

not sure how you are blending right now but this is the method i use. the reason i say something is you can see all of the brush strokes on the texture, mostly on the face and hair. i use the smudge brush with some scatter and a soft edge. it samples around your stroke giving you a more even blend. here's a picture: hope… -

Nice work morte, you've made excellent progress with this character. I think you could still spend a lot more time working on his hands though, as they still appear very soft and undefined. It might help you to first block out the forms into simple shapes (rectangles for the fingers etc.) and concentrate on the gesture… -
