ACH > really cool rock ! I think it looks nicer in the small/thumbnail version. Once zoomed in, I thought the grass overlay on the texture was too much. I'm continuing my experimentations with rocks and tried a first go at a material using substance painter! C&C welcome ! -

Run Mesh Cleanup command before Thickening. Make sure your surface is continuous and has no irregularities. Try to uncheck 'Sharp' in Thicken tool options. Give it a bigger Max. Smoothing angle in thicken tool options. Usually if you went overboard things gonna start to overlap. -

Thanks everyone for helping me nail this one! I'll keep you posted on the fix. Just a minor remark, I've updated cgted.com with a help section, trying to provide solutions for the most common issues. It is a bit basic right now, but I will make sure to extend it continuously. Teddy -

A tail is really a continuation of your spine, not your pelvis. If you look at a links and schematic display versus bones, it can help understand whats happening. Which is its a multiple subobject chain of the spine. Its the same reason that the legs don't move when you rotate the spine. -

Yeah, the hair really destroys it. The face looks very realistic but the hair doesn't show any real structure and has very obvious seams. The area where it meets the face needs a much better transition as well. Try not to split the strands, keep them continuous as long as possible. -

That's true it's supposed to be hair with product on, you feel like it should be shinier? I can see that, ive been playing with the roughness continuously so at one point I wasn't sure what works best. I'll play with it more before I finish with the character :) Thanks for the feedback! -
